Chan Chung Ki

Creative & Film director

Chan Chung Ki studied graphic design major in Audio visual production in the hk polytechnic university.

​

After graduation, ki began his career in the film and television entertainment industries, RTHK, Scorpio film, STAR TV - from special effects to promo & sales tape, to 90-min

tele-feature productions to become a solid film professional.

In 2002, he joined Celestial Entertainment as Senior Producer in developing program pilots for Celestial Movie Channel, including Celestial Express, Director on Director, Celebrities Cool Talk, Shaw Showcase (88 episodes, hosted by Ms Cheng Pei Pei), which received great reviews from audiences around Asia.

In recent years, ki had produced several documentaries for AXN, Phoenix Chinese Channel, Hong Kong agriculture and Conservation Department, including Hong Kong Super Fans, Dragon Inn: The Hideout in Temple Street and Hong Kong geo park.

​

ki’s “HK Love Trees TV Commercial” has won The 21st International Mercury Awards Competition Bronze Award. His Documentary program “Dragon Inn: The Hideout in Temple Street” was officially screened  in The 19th IDFA, The International Documentary Film Festival.  It was also  honored as Hors Concours Selection by the 27th Annual Banff World Television Awards.

In 2013, ki was honored as one of the five innovative directors in the world to create a short film called “pupil” for Lexus and The Weinstein Company. He was chosen from among the best up-and-coming talents in the industry.
